The suggested resample scale will depend on the size of the original image to be traced. The Autotrace Studio has three default settings for Photo, Logo, or B&W, but each can be customised to get the desired results. Photographs typically have many unique colours, so to get an accurate vector trace requires more and smaller shapes than a simple logo image, or a black and white drawing. AutotraceĭrawPlus can take a bitmap image, and trace it into many small areas of uniform colour. However, animated gif images cannot be edited in DrawPlus. Stop Frame animations can be exported as GIF animations. Legacy FeaturesĭrawPlus can create both Stop Frame and Keyframe animations. Support for legacy products can be found from other users on the Serif Community website. Great for the cartoonist who can draw a few lines, then fill the areas created between them with different colours, gradients, or patterns. The traditional bitmap fill tool is good for filling closed shapes, but the vector flood fill will create filled closed shapes by filling in areas that are not closed. Right-click on a vector-filled object to edit the fill or to recolour it. Add to the basic set of brick, tiles, dots, and hashes with your own pattern fills to create stunning designs. Vector fills provide scalable fills that are sharp at any size. Vector FillsĪnother frequently requested feature. Simpler to use that the replicate dialog, this is a great way to produce grid patterns, and resize the elements for creating wallpaper effects. This is a very simple way to produce presentations with transitions in Shockwave or Video formats (*.avi, *.mov, or *.wmv). Although you can use Edit in External Program to edit in PhotoPlus (or your favourite bitmap editor), this may be less often needed now. This has been enhanced with a new clone tool and new filters. They may be useful for posters or advertisements. The nodes on these can be adjusted to provide 16 and 11 different default shapes respectively. Two quick shapes from earlier versions of DrawPlus have been revived - the Quick Splat and the Quick Flash. They are not smart logos, as in PagePlus, where each design could include text filled in with the Company name from User Details - they are just the vector graphics like clipart. These royalty free designs can be a starting point for your own logos. LogosĭrawPlus doesn’t have the LogoStudio from PagePlus, but it does now have the logos, which have been added as a new category to the Gallery. The interface also needs to work at 200% display settings. With more using high resolution monitors, large icons are not enough. The lines are displayed in DrawPlus as 1 pixel at all zoom levels. Hairlines are designed for output to cutters. SERIF DRAWPLUS FREE REVIEW DOWNLOAD Click on the bird logo to download an EPS version exported from DPX8. This has been one of the most frequently requested features for many years. There is a new Startup Option in Tools, Options, General where you can choose between showing the Startup Assistant, starting a New drawing, or Restoring the last session. It is assumed that users will open and close tabs, etc., but won’t usually want to change the current workspace. A workspace drop list on the context toolbar (when nothing is selected) makes it quicker to switch workspaces, but remember to save any intentional changes that you have made to the current workspace before switching, or you will lose them without warning. Toolbars and menus are now saved as a property of the workspace. Several improvements were made to Customising the Workspace to improve workflow: Just click to define the points and drag to shape the curve. I am not a DrawPlus expert - below are some of my first impressions of the changes since X6. The latest release of DrawPlus, almost two years since the release of DrawPlus X6, includes several frequently requested features, and some useful innovations. USE WINDOWS 10 DISK TO REPAIR OR CREATE BOOT PARTITION HOW TO USE WINDOWS 10 DISK TO REPAIR OR CREATE BOOT PARTITION INSTALL USE WINDOWS 10 DISK TO REPAIR OR CREATE BOOT PARTITION ZIP FILE USE WINDOWS 10 DISK TO REPAIR OR CREATE BOOT PARTITION CODE TestDisk is a program running in console, but with this tutorial, this program seem more accessible to you. USE WINDOWS 10 DISK TO REPAIR OR CREATE BOOT PARTITION ZIP FILE To resolve this issue, download 'TestDisk', unzip the downloaded zip file and run the 'testdisk_win.exe' file. Which means 'raw data' because it no longer recognizes files of that partition system. This should switch the computer to use rEFInd by default, and you should be able to boot everything normally. When the hard disk is faulty or for other reasons, it happens that partition is no longer accessible.Īlso, if you go to the start menu -> Right click on Computer -> Manage, you will see that Windows displays the data partition as RAW. USE WINDOWS 10 DISK TO REPAIR OR CREATE BOOT PARTITION INSTALL If you can boot both Windows and Linux, install the Debian package of rEFInd in Linux. This should give you an option for Windows and at least one option for Linux. Instead of restoring GRUB, you could consider installing rEFInd to your hard disk, too.ĮDIT: Try using my rEFInd boot manager: Use the USB flash drive or CD-R image to create a suitable medium and boot from that. This question and answers cover the issue from a different angle. Briefly, you must use the -o option to efibootmgr to set GRUB's entry as the first one. Once Linux is up and running, you should be able to use efibootmgr to restore GRUB as the default boot loader, but the details depend on how it's configured now. Alternatively, you should be able to use a CD-R or USB flash drive version of my rEFInd boot manager to get Linux booted. USE WINDOWS 10 DISK TO REPAIR OR CREATE BOOT PARTITION HOW TO Third, if you can figure out how to boot your live CD in EFI mode, Boot Repair should fix the problem. Thus, you may need to experiment to figure this out. You can usually do this via a boot manager that's accessed by hitting Esc or a function key early in the boot process (before GRUB appears) but there's no standardization on how to access this boot manager or what options it provides. You need to learn how to control your computer's boot mode. Second, you had this problem because you booted your emergency disc in BIOS/CSM/legacy mode rather than in EFI mode. Only once you're sure that you can mount the partition and use it normally should you proceed. If the partition has errors, fix them or restore your system from a backup. Test your Linux root ( /) partition with fsck (or equivalent functionality in GParted or other GUI tools). Remove the bios_grub flag from your Linux root ( /) partition. Thus, before you do anything else, I recommend you: Most importantly, if Boot Repair re-ran the GRUB installer after you set the bios_grub flag on your Linux root ( /) partition, you may have trashed that partition. It's normally about 1MiB in size, although it can be smaller in some cases. USE WINDOWS 10 DISK TO REPAIR OR CREATE BOOT PARTITION CODE GRUB 2 uses this partition to hold part of its boot code when the computer boots in BIOS mode. I re-installed grub: grub-install /dev/sdaįirst, the bios_grub flag in parted or GParted is a way to identify a BIOS Boot Partition. I logged on the system with chroot: sudo chroot /mnt I mounted my Ubuntu system disk: sudo mount /dev/sda9 /mntĪnd the other things: sudo mount -bind /dev /mnt/dev But it's empty (the only voice is 'System Setup'). When I boot my PC with SecureBoot OFF, I can reach the GRUB menu. My boot is on UEFI mode, Secure Boot is 'off'. So I tried again with Boot-Repair but it always gives me the 'GPT detected' error. Then I used fsck and it didn't find any error. My Grub was working fine (using UEFI) before I updated Windows. So I tried to set my sda9 (I think that it's the Ubuntu system partition, since it's ext4) with the bios_grub flag and then to run Boot-Repair again. Alternatively, you can retry after activating the option. This can be performed via tools such as Gparted. Please create a BIOS-Boot partition (>1MB, unformatted filesystem, bios_grub flag). If I click on Reccomended repair I get this error: I ran Ubuntu using Live USB, I used Boot-Repair but something went wrong. Since I updated Windows to 8.1 my Grub menu disappeared.
